Erick Cruz, Sandan, began training that art of aikido in 1992 while serving as a military member in Germany.
His first hand experience of the art was with a 12 year old boy whom he felt was going to break his arm. Evidently, he was impressed with the gentle techniques and decided to continue with his practice.
Sensei Erick Cruz believes in having an open heart and an open mind. He practices mixed martial arts and is a certified yoga instructor. In addition, he was the former 2000 World Eskrima Kali Arnis Federation Middleweight Champion.
Sensei Erick Cruz was awarded the rank of Sandan in April 2003 by Sensei William Harris, 6th Dan and Sensei Vince Sumpter, 5th Dan, Kai Shin Kai - UK.
